ABOUT MARISSA WILKINS PHOTOGRAPHY

Hey friend! My name is Marissa Wilkins and I am the owner and photographer behind Marissa Wilkins Photography.

 I currently live in Birmingham, AL, I have two precious dogs named Penny and Ranger (they are my babies), I have amazing friends and family, and I absolutely love pictures! I have always loved taking pictures of anything and everything. Growing up I always looked for an excuse to take pictures and I knew it was something I would enjoy for the rest of my life. I still remember the first digital camera I ever got and how excited I was to finally have my own camera! I took that camera with me to dance classes, school, birthday parties, pretty much anywhere it was allowed. (Fun fact: I still have it)

One of the biggest reasons I love taking pictures is that they are moments and memories that no amount of time can take away from you. Our lives get so busy some times that we forget to slow down and enjoy life, and photographs are a great way to freeze time even if it is for just a moment. One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is look back through old photos because it takes me back to that time and place. Those pictures are able to remind me of all of the things that I have gone through to get to this point (good as well as bad) and how truly amazing God is.​

I love capturing the beauty of this world and the beauty of all people using natural lighting and minimal editing. I love to travel, explore new places, and make new friends!
